Apple Professional Development
Apple offers a variety of onsite professional development workshops that can run anywhere between one to eight days at your school. These hands-on workshops will be tailored to your school or district’s specific needs and are designed to enable you to use your Apple products to transform teaching and learning.
Taught by educators for educators.
All Apple Professional Development Facilitators are educators themselves. That gives them a unique view: They know what’s important in the classroom, so they can ensure that you learn about your Apple products and how they can best serve you and your students. In addition, our team of 6 Alaska-based Alaska Professional Development Facilitators understands the unique challenges and considerations facing Alaska’s school districts.
We offer workshops in the following categories: Start, Learn, Instruct, Lead, and Support. Attached is a copy of the current APD catalog with a more detailed description of each workshop.

Onsite Coaching and Mentoring*
In consideration of Alaska’s unique geographical location and travel challenges, there is a great need for innovative professional development opportunities for staff. In addition to our onsite workshops, districts may want to consider using Apple Professional Development days for in-class coaching and small-group mentoring. These job-embedded sessions bring an Apple Professional Development Facilitator into the classroom to work with teachers on specific skills, teaching strategies, or lesson demonstrations. Our sessions also offer a flexible structure to work with a group of teachers during preparation times or planning periods to support planning and implementation of new skills.
