Apple Professional Development
Apple offers onsite, hands-on workshops tailored to your school or district’s specific needs. These workshops are designed to help you use your Apple products to transform teaching and learning.
Taught by educators for educators.
All Apple Professional Development Specialists are current or former educators, which gives them a personal understanding of teaching and learning with technology. Because they know what’s important in the curriculum, they can ensure that you learn about your Apple products and how they can best serve you and your students.
In addition, our team of Alaska-based Apple Professional Development Specialists understands the unique challenges and considerations facing Alaska’s school districts.
We offer workshops in the following categories: Foundations, Curriculum, and Support.

Coaching and Mentoring
In consideration of Alaska’s unique geographical location and travel challenges, there is a great need for innovative professional development opportunities for staff. In addition to our onsite workshops, districts may want to consider using Apple Professional Development days for coaching and small-group mentoring.
Coaching and small-group mentoring is an alternative and augmentation to workshops. These job-embedded sessions bring an Apple Professional Development Specialist into the classroom to work with teachers to co-deliver lessons, work on specific skills or teaching strategies, deliver lessons to students, or provide best practice integration demonstrations. Coaching and Mentoring sessions can also be structured for a group
of teachers during preparation times or planning periods to support planning and implementation of new skills.
